Bio

Mark Poggi is a long-time veteran of the Agawam Police Department, serving as a uniformed officer for 28 out of his 40 years. Certified in active shooter training, Poggi is also a firearms instructor and armorer. In addition to credentialed coursework, he has trained with renowned instructor, James Markowski, of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) and the Massachusetts State Police Tactical Response Team, and has undergone drug taskforce training. Poggi is also skilled in interview and interrogation techniques, defensive tactics, crime-scene management and suicide prevention. Together with John Nettis and Steven Grasso, they formed Protective Advanced Safety Services (PASS), offering real-world, scenario-based learning to provide overall risk assessments and emergency action plans for workplaces throughout the Commonwealth and beyond. He and his team present live demonstrations and interactive trainings tailored to each client’s specific needs and facilities.
